In 1929 the brothers Gabriel specialize in the breeding of trout and they develop the international transport of living fish. The brand Gabriel becomes a reference in this market and associates with other Belgian and French breeders.

In 1986 they build, on the request of Delhaize, a factory for transforming and packing fish on their current site in Malmedy. The firm develops a large assortment of products: fresh fish, cooked fish, smoked fish, salads, marinated fish and fish roe.

These products are sold in the supermarkets but also by fine food shops.

In 2001 the firm gets new stakeholders and Doctor Robert Denis takes over the firm, he becomes CEO of the company.

Today, Gabriel is collaborating with the most important supermarket chains and they sell their products under their brand but also under private label.
